BECOMING A HUMANE SOCIETY POLICE OFFICER IN PENNSYLVANIA IS NOT JUST A JOB, BUT A CAREER WITH ANIMALS.  THIS COURSE IS THE MANDATED BASIC TRAINING FOR ALL ASPIRING HSPO’S IN PENNSYLVANIA.  ALL GRADUATES MUST BE EMPLOYED BY OR VOLUNTEER FOR A NON-PROFIT ANIMAL PROTECTION ORGANIZATION AS DEFINED IN TITLE 22 CHAPTER 37 PRIOR TO BEING AWARDED OFFICIAL CREDENTIALS AND WORKING AS AN HSPO.  (STUDENTS DO NOT NEED TO BE EMPLOYED BY OR VOLUNTEER FOR A NON-PROFIT AT THE TIME OF COURSE ATTENDANCE). THIS COURSE IS OPEN TO ALL.

Hotel accommodations and meals are not included in the course tuition. We do not have a room block at any local hotels, as we have found, due to the area, attendees can often find better rates than a room block.  We do have several recommendations for hotels that many students have stayed at in the past as well as several of our instructors.  These are a few recommendations:

There are numerous restaurants in the immediate vicinity of the training site for off-site meal options.  There is also a small kitchen on site should you decide to bring your own lunch.  Water will be provided to the class.
